OSTEOPATHY
What Is Osteopathy?
An Osteopathic manual practitioner’s goal is to determine and treat the root cause of pain and dysfunction. Treatment aims to positively affect the body’s 4 rivers of life; the nervous, circulatory (veins and arteries), and lymphatic systems.
Manual therapy means that both assessment and treatment are carried out with the hands.
Osteopathy is an American science, founded by Andrew Taylor Still. It is a drugless manual form of healing that follows a set of principles and emphasizes the interrelationship between the structure and function of the body.
Early American Classical Osteopathy believes in the body’s ability to self-heal and self-regulate.
