What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a comprehensive and individualized approach to health care that looks to address the root cause of disease and illness. Naturopathic doctors use an integrative approach to treat the mind, body and soul of the individual while utilizing evidence-based naturopathic medical therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle counselling, health promotion and disease prevention.
Naturopathic doctors use laboratory testing, food sensitivity testing, physical exams, and collaboration with other healthcare providers to diagnose and treat patient health concerns. A Naturopathic Doctor will devise an individualized treatment plan which focuses on prevention and education while ensuring every patient is an active member in their health journey.
